The work of EMARA was aired as one of the practices working on heat mitigation in informal settlement, Please follow the link to hear the entire session. Deutschlandradio followed us on our site visits across various sites in Delhi and documented the condition of the informal settlement and how they had been mitigating extreme heat waves, they also conducted various interviews and open house with the residents. The session was recorded for German Radio “Deutschlandradio” and was aired in August. In India, many people die from the aftermath of the extreme heat that parts of the country are increasingly suffering from. A return to traditional stone and bamboo construction methods could help alleviate the consequences of global warming. We would continue our engagement with the informal settlement in the upcoming year. Happy Holidays.
